When I read your comment where you say "This is what summer is all about.", I thought 'shoes'?! I really don't understand why you put the focus on the shoes. The guitar would be so much better.
The idea is nice to lay 'summeritems' into the grass and make it a macrophotograph, but I would have done it exactly the other way around. Main focus on the guitar, maybe a hat on top of it or so.
The perspective is interesting, you really get the feeling to lie there in the grass talking with friends and for the evening you take the guitar and play some song.
The only thing I would change about it, is the image section. The guitar and the shoes both are a bit too high, that means you have too much foreground.
Think more about the composing and you'll get a nice summer photo.
